Whether you're interested in a family, couples, or maternity session - there are a few options to choose from. We can plan a session in the comfort of your own home, take a trip to the river, or find some beautiful outdoor greenery at a park or field. I typically take outdoor photos an hour before sunset, the "golden hour." I'm more than happy to help you choose the best location for your style.

Kids being kids? That’s where the magic happens


Little ones have big personalities — and that’s exactly what makes family sessions so special! Please don’t stress if your kids need a break, get wiggly, or aren’t looking at the camera. I’m very patient and love capturing those real, in-between moments that show your family just as you are. Some of the best photos come from the laughter and chaos that happen naturally.


Here are a few things parents can bring (and do!) to help keep little ones calm, comfortable, and smiling:


  • Ensure they're well rested
  • Play their favorite song
  • Favorite snacks — mess-free options like fruit snacks, mini crackers, or puffs help keep energy up.
  • A drink or sippy cup — staying hydrated keeps everyone happy.
  • Comfort items — a small toy, blanket, or stuffed animal can help them feel secure
  • Small reward or treat — something to look forward to after photos (stickers, a lollipop, etc.).



FAQ

How should we dress for our family session?

Upon confirmation of your photoshoot I will send you a guide how to choose your look. This includes recommended attire and a color pallet guide.

What’s the best time to have an outdoor session?

I prefer to schedule all outdoor shoots during the golden hour. This is shortly after sunrise, or about an hour before sunset. This enhances portraits with warm, soft and glowing light. However, that may not always be feasible with small children. We will coordinate a time that works best for everyone.

I'm not good at posing, what should I do?

Please do NOT stress about posing! I will come to the photoshoot prepared to guide you in any and all poses. If you have any poses you would like to add, we can definitely add those as well!

How long does it take before the photos are ready?

2 weeks is the timeline I give clients to allow me to edit and prepare their photos for viewing.

What happens in case of bad weather?

I am always monitoring the weather leading up to the photoshoot. Cloudy weather still produces amazing photos. In the event of bad weather I will work with you to reschedule.

What's your rescheduling policy?

Life happens! If you need to reschedule, please reach out as soon as possible, and we'll work together to find a new suitable date.

What's your cancellation policy?

In the event that you need to reschedule, you must do so within 24 hours prior to your scheduled session, otherwise all fees may be non-refundable. All reschedules must take place within 12 months of original booking date.
